Gameplay Info and Tips
Harvest Lands is all about finding and collecting Nummies who will help you harvest resources and build your town of Nummington. Learn the basics of gameplay and get some important tips (straight from the Developers!) in the information below.
The Basics
| To move within an area, you can tap anywhere on the lower ground to get your Nummi to move to that spot. You can also tap and hold on the lower ground and then swipe left or right to scroll within the area and move your Nummi. |
| To move to a different area, tap on any of the directional arrows on the left or right side of the screen. |
| There are three types of actions to interact and harvest the resources in Harvest Lands |
- 1. Tap on resource: Wood Trees, Stone and Ore Deposits
- 2. Swipe Up: Flowers, Mushrooms and Weeds
- 3. Swipe Side to Side: Apple Trees, Berry Bushes and Regular Bushes
| Harvesting is hard work and Nummies will get tired and need to rest. If your Nummi is out of energy, you can fully recharge their energy using Acorns. When you Nummi is completely out of energy, a pop-up will ask for your confirmation to recharge their energy using your Acorns. You can also recharge your Nummi's energy from the "Main Menu" by selecting "Nummies" and then finding the Nummi you want to recharge. |
| You can swap and bring in a different Nummi with energy to harvest. There are quick-swap Nummies that appear on the top left of the screen when your current Nummi's energy is low. Tap on their portrait to quick swap to them. You can also swap Nummies from the "Main Menu" by selecting "Nummies" and selecting a new Nummi from the list. |
| Finally, you can let your Nummies rest and regain their energy over time. All Nummies have different energy recharge rates depending on what type of creature they are and their rarity. |
| The world of Harvest Lands is magical and everything magically Regrows! Once you have harvested all the available areas, you can select "Regrow" from the "Main Menu". You can also select "Regrow" from inside Nummington at the Town Portal. Remember that even Regrow takes time to recharge and become available again, but you can skip the wait time by using Acorns to make Regrow instantly available. |
| You will need to earn gold from harvesting and from your shops in town. This gold you earn can then be spent on upgrading and expanding your lands. Once you have enough gold, you can go to the "Main Menu" and select the next available land upgrade. As you expand your lands, you will find new areas to explore and more importantly new Nummies that are stronger and more rare! |
| In order to acquire and get more Nummies, you will need to keep an eye on your Nummi population. You can see the population number when you're back in Nummington town on the top left hand side. To increase your Nummi population, you can select Nummi Population from the "Main Menu", but you will need to have enough gold to upgrade your population. |
| You can also free up your population limit by evicting Nummies from your town. You can evict a Nummi by going to the "Main Menu" and selecting "Nummies". Once your Nummi Roster is open, you can select the portrait of the Nummi you want to evict and tap on the "Evict" button at the bottom of your Nummi's stats and information window. |
| Make sure you have space in your population so that you can take on the requests from Nummies you find in the wild! |
| You will come across many hidden treasures and Nummies as you play Harvest Lands. When you are out harvesting, your Nummi will notify you that there is a hidden object nearby. Watch for your Nummi to have a popup bubble showing the "Peek Eye" icon. When you see this, press and hold on the Peek Eye button in the bottom left corner of the screen. While pressing this button, tilt your device forward and back gently to reveal the hidden object. Once it has been revealed, gently shake your device to make that hidden object pop out! Happy treasure and Nummi hunting! |
| Well first you'll need to build a resource shop to make gold. Each shop is resource based on one of the five harvested resources: wood, flower, food, stone and ore. Once the resource shop is built, you will need to assign a Nummi to work at the shop. Tap on the shop to bring up the shop menu and then tap on the "?" Assign button to find and select a Nummi to work at this shop. |
| Once you have built your shop and have assigned a Nummi to work there, you can deposit resources into it which will create goods that make you gold. For example, in a wood shop you will deposit the wood your harvest. Over time, that wood you deposit is made into good that will produce gold for you to collect. |
| Harvesting
| Did you know that shaking down regular bushes and pulling up weeds or ferns does not take up any of your Nummi's energy? Make sure you harvest every regular bush and weed or fern that you see for a chance at free gold and xp stars! |
| If you're running of of Nummies with energy to harvest, remember that you can choose a Nummi who is assigned to a shop and take them out of that shop to go harvesting! This only works if that Nummi is not currently working and producing gold at the shop. |
| Every time you choose to "Regrow", treasure chests and Nummies located in the wild will also reappear randomly as well. The only exception to this is if you accept a wild Nummi's request and the quest timer is active, they will still be at their location even if you "Regrow"! |
| If you're out Harvesting and have a Nummi with full energy or close to full energy and you find a golden fruit (energy recharge), you can quickly swap in a Nummie who has no energy to take that golden fruit! |
Nummies
| Take the time to invest and rank-up your favourite Nummies! Ranking them up from Bronze Star to Silver Star to Gold Star will improve their energy levels, their recharge times and their Perks. Also as a bonus, whenever you rank-up your Nummi, they receive full energy! |
| Your Nummies will harvest while you are "offline" and have resources available for you when you come back to play. Nummies will provide more resources based on their rarity and if they were acquired in a larger world size. |
| Want to make your Nummies a little more unique? Remember that you can change their color and their names when you open their character sheet. You can do this by tapping on the Nummi's portrait with the "?" symbol.
Economy
| To improve and maximize your town shop's production, make sure you pay attention to all of your Nummies' perks. There are perks that will help improve the amount of gold a shop will produce or how long it takes to produce that gold. Just make sure you assign the right Nummi with the right perk to the right shop based on the resource type! |
| In addition to the above tip, Nummi perks will stack! What does that mean? That means if you put 3 Nummies with a perk that increases gold production for a resource type, they will combine together to make lots of gold for that shop! The sames goes for reducing the conversion time and increasing the capacity of the shop! |
| Use the "Shops" button from the "Main Menu" to keep track of all of your shops progress. You can teleport back to town anytime to restock and deposit more resources to your shops to keep them producing gold! |
